Hanoi – Halong – Ninh Binh

03: HALONG – HANOI (B, L, D)

Halong Bay
Halong Bay

If you get up early, you will have a precious opportunity to admire the sunrise view of the Bay’s landscapes. Sitting on the upper deck, you can enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the crystal-clear water of Halong Bay. We can hear the birds singing, cicadas chirping ashore and the gentle lapping of the waves against our boat, the perfect soundtrack to accompany the fresh air and gentle breeze. After having breakfast, a morning cruise will welcome you to visit the Cave of Wooden Stakes, Tortoise Island and Bai Tu Long Bay. The tour will last for about 2 hours and a half, then we will prepare the luggage, check-out and have lunch on boat. About 11.45 am, you will be met by our company’s guide and vehicle on the dock, take you back to Hanoi for hotel check-in registration, dinner, free leisure time and overnight stay.

DAY 04: HANOI – NINH BINH (B, L, D)

You will meet our guide in the morning and transferred to Ninh Binh Province – located at about 110km from Hanoi to the south. Tam Coc cave may be one of the most spectacular sights in Vietnam. Along the Hoang Long River, vast limestone cliffs rise out of the rice paddies make Tam Coc somehow similar to Halong Bay, thus Tam Coc is also called Halong Bay – on-land. A river trip to Tam Coc and through three caves of Tam Coc is wonderful for photo hunters, especially when local residents come to harvest the rice planted along the river or when they transplant seeding for the next crop. Next to Tam Coc is Hoa Lu, the relics of the ancient capital of Vietnam in 10th century. What remains are temples dedicated to the two heroes: King Dinh and King Le whom chosen Hoa Lu to build the citadel of the capital city. Though the temples are not wholly maintained, some precious antiques are still preserved well like: the whole-stone dragon thrones; wooden has-relieves and lacquered statues of King Dinh, Kinh Le and Queen Duong Van Nga who in turn got married to both of the Kings.

In the afternoon, we will move back to Hanoi for dinner and overnight stay.
