Visit the museum
Hanoi has 16 museums scattered throughout the urban districts and mainly open by the hour each day. To visit these places, the tourists have to buy a ticket prescribed by each museum. These visitors are mainly tourists from the countries or other locations.
Go to Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam
Considered as the most diverse and the richest population in Hanoi, Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam currently is listed in 23 special national relics. Hanoi people are proud and considered Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam as a symbol of Hanoi’s tourism. However, they do not always visit this place. The peak time people come to Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam is in the first day or before college season.
Visit to Hoa Lo Prison
Hoa Lo Prison was built in 1896 and used to be the place of detention of Vietnamese political prisoners during French colonial times. After 1954, Hoa Lo was under the management of the government to detain parachuting American pilots, including Senator John McCain.
Today, Hoa Lo remains only a small corner for travelers to visit. The rest is commercial buildings Hanoi Tower. Opening hours for visiting Hoa Lo is from 8am to 17 pm with ticket prices of 10,000-20,000 VND. Most tourists are foreigners.
