Hanoi People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 6590 / QD-TTg regarding the investment policy approval for the project of renovation of 10 old houses in Duong Lam commune, Son Tay town.
The budget for project
The aim of investment is conserving 10 old houses dating from 100 to 400 years ago severely degraded in ancient village of Duong Lam commune. The investment form is embellishing and maintaining the original value of the relic. Total investment is expected to 12.939 billion VND. In particular, the city’s budget supports a maximum of 800 million VND per house. The remaining costs (over 800 million per home – if available) will be paid by the town’s budget and the households having the ancient houses. The project will be implemented from 2016 to 2018.
The purposes of project
Initially, the People’s Committee of Hanoi assigned People’s Committee of Son Tay town – project investor to conduct survey and assess the current state … Also, verify and evaluate project approval process prescribed by the Law of cultural heritage, construction law, related decrees and circulars implemented.
At the 10th anniversary of relics in Duong Lam ancient village recognized as art architectural monuments at national level in November, People’s Committee of Son Tay town has confirmed, in 2016, local authorities will strive to make Duong Lam ancient village become a national monument and world cultural heritage by the UNESCO in the future.
In the past 10 years, since the ancient village of Duong Lam monument was recognized as a national art architectural, Son Tay town has focused on conversing and promoting the values of the monument and achieved remarkable results such as: construction permission, conservation and renovation of temple and tomb of Ngo Quyen, Cam Thinh temple, Doai Giap temple, conservation of 12 places and 10 ancient wells, 10 ancient houses, the landscape from Mong Phu village to Mong Phu’s temple.
