In six years, although there were many difficulties, no land to build infrastructure, but due to the support of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, and the help of the Ministries, local authorities, museums, groups and individuals inside and outside the country, the Vietnam National Museum of Nature has gradually developed and gained many achievements in research, specimen collections, specimen preservation and exhibition.

It’s a little premature to talk about the status of the campaign, but the academy will be launching a major fundraising campaign for the project to supplement monies sourced from the State budget, the representative added.
As approved by the Prime Minister, the project will be built in two phases, the first from 2015-2020 focusing on things such as site work preparation, infrastructure, and collecting specimens with the second from 2021 to 2025 finalising the project.
The museum, run by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, will have both indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. It will contribute to preserving the natural values of Vietnam and the world, enriching the community’s knowledge of nature and raising awareness of protecting nature and the environment.
Total investment for the project has yet to be determined, but will be based on the cost of component projects and will be funded by the State budget and other sources.
Scheduled to be completed in 2025, the museum will be a leading national figure as approved in the master plan for the natural museum system between 2020 and 2030.-VNA
