Hanoi, one of the most beautiful of the colonial Indochinese cities, is often the start or end point of a trip to Vietnam, and what a great welcome or farewell it is. This ancient city had been established and developed for over 1,000 years since 1010. There are many relics of the past, well-known landscapes in Hanoi such as Literature Temple Quoc Tu Giam, One Pillar Pagoda, Sword Lake, and West Lake. History Museum, Flag Pole, Ancient Streets… Oozing with charm, Hanoi has gone through wholesale changes since Vietnam swung open its doors to tourism, but it remains true to its essential personality and is an amazing city to experience.
The tour will start by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. The mausoleum is the last resting place of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s great revolutionist. It is a symbol of gratitude and respect of Vietnamese people for president Ho Chi Minh. The Ho Chi Minh Museum is the preserver of everything memorable related to Ho Chi Minh. The Museum consists of five extensive floors and was inaugurated on 2nd September, 1990, celebrating the 100th birthday occasion of the beloved President. Close by, the famous One Pillar Pagoda is worth a passing look. Built by King Ly Thai To in 1049, the structure has become an important symbol for the Hanoian. Quan Thanh Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda, two of the most famous religious construction in Hanoi, will be our next stop.After lunch at a local restaurant, we will continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam – Vietnam’s first University, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Then you will have an opportunity to enjoy Hanoi’s mixture of traditional and modern atmosphere on cyclos for 1 hour, including the trading area in the Old Quarter, the old streets and around the S word Lake. We will stop to see Ngoc Son Temple and learn more about Sword Lake’s legend. Thang Long Theatre will welcome you for a water puppet show at about 4.10 pm. The tour will end at about 5.30 pm.
